The Florestan line is presently the most popular dressage line there is. The results at the licensing events in 2008 once again documented this: The most coveted licensing winners and top priced young stallions at all of the important licensing events were clearly stallions whose name began with an ‘F’.
The fairy tale career of Zuchthof Klatte’s Bundeschampion can be quickly outlined: A finalist in Warendorf three times, the best 6 yo dressage horse in Germany, many first places in advanced (S) level dressage classes at the age of seven. Three starts in three days and three victories in Prix St Georges and Intermediaire 1. He need not fear any of his competitors: he also placed with the best in the qualifiers for the Nurnberg Burg Pokal! The career of his sire Fidermark, the most popular Florestan son, was very similar. Farewell 111 set accents in breeding right from the beginning and was awarded the I-c main premium in Oldenburg in 2004.
Everything about him is a perfect fit: Farewell’s dam comes from a highly successful Westphalian dam line and she has a collection of trademark stallions in her pedigree. Significant body parts, generous movements and a walk that can only be praised as “optimal” make Farewell 111 one of the top sires for modern dressage horse breeding.
