At the beginning of 2002 the sire of Condios, Coriano, was named the No 1 ranked sire in the German state of Sleswig-Holstein. Coriano received overall breeding value (BV) score of 145, placing him at the pinnacle and above well-known but older sires such as Acord 11(125), Caretino (130), Contender (137) and Quidam de Revel (111). Coriano was ranked by the German Federation as Germany’s 6th best show jumping sire.
Remarks about Condios by Dr Thomas Nissen, head of the Holsteiner Studbood at the Stallion Inspection Approvals: A typey son of the performance sire Coriano. Very athletic in his expression with long lines. His sport type finds a perfect match in his performance career and many successes in international competition. Conformation is influenced by the sire. Condios has three good basic paces, with excellent transmission in his canter allowing for an optimal jump. The interesting dam line also produced the legendary Farnese and the competition horse Oberon. Stallion inspection scores totalled 52, scoring above Coriano and Corrado 1.
Condios is the #1 Holsteiner horse of his year and #2 stallion of any breed. (WBFSH year ending 30 Sept 2003)
