Grandsire of El Bundy is Espri, who is well known for passing on jumping ability to his offspring. Even with mares that carry hardly any jumping capacity in their genes, he is able to produce show jumpers of superb quality, including his son ET ridden by Hugo Simon. Many other top riders are also sitting in the saddles of Espri descendants, including Lars Nieberg on Enrico.
Sire, Escudo 1, was 1994 stallion performance test champion in Adelheidsdorf dominating sovereignty in jumping. He won show jumper horse competitions in series. In 1996 he was Hanoverian show jumping champion of the 5 year olds at Dobrock and equal federal vice champion in Warendorf. From his first crop, Escudo 1 already presented 7 winning foals at regional foal shows. In 1998 a daughter of his was the champion mare at the mare show in Schillerslage. His breeding value for jumping is very impressive. This Escudo 1 bloodline combines jumping talent with a fine aptitude for dressage, like his approved sons Embassy (runner-up in his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 2000), El Bundy (stallion performance test winner), Earl and Elias (both stallion performance test winners in 2002 in Adelheidsdorf) and Export (best showjumper stallion of the 2004 approval in Verden). El Bundy’s dam Rosabella is a daughter of the performance transmitter Rebel Z II, who in turn is a full-brother to the world class showjumper Ratina Z. The strong performer Carneval, one of the best sons of the siring legend Cor de la Bryère, rounds off the pedigree nicely.
El Bundy was the convincing winner of the stallion performance test in 2001. He is a multi-talented stallion with an extremely interesting pedigree. He bred by Dr Jacobs at Bierbergen, who is a well-known breeder of good jumping horses, (eg Embassy). This young stallion is a very good jumping horse and is always careful to not make mistakes. He also has three excellent basic gaits. El Bundy won eight showjumper tests in 2002. In the following year, he entered the showjumping sport achieving eight wins in novice (A) class showjumper tests and placings up to elementary (L) level. In 2004 wins in elementary and intermediate (M) showjumper tests followed. Several of his progeny from his first foal crops were admitted to the foal auctions in Verden. He has 1 licensed son, 12 state premium mares, and 19 auction horses.
