A modern-type performance horse sire with a bright future.
This outstanding stallion, son of three-times World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet, is already competing at 1.5m level. He went on from series wins in novice horse show jumping classes to win the final qualifier for the German Championships final with the highest score of 9.2. In the final itself, he was one of the best four licensed stallions. A perfect 10 in his 30-day test gave a strong indication of where this stallion is heading – right to the top. Balou du Rouet combines enormous scope with very special presence and wonderfully elastic movement.
His offspring are in high international demand and many of them are following in his competitive footsteps. Apart from Cornet Obolensky, Balou du Rouet was the stallion who had the most offspring at the German Championships in Warendorf in 2008. Baranus, ridden by Helena Tortensson, won a class at the World Championship for Young Horses in Zangersheide and sold for Eur 120,000 at the PSI Auction. In 2007, the approved stallion Be Bravo was sold for the record price of Eur 350,000 at the AOS Auction. Benvinda was the highest-priced lot at Willi Mellinger’s auction in Switzerland in 2008. Balou du Rouet’s offspring are demonstrating impressive jumping ability and excellent movement at stallion performance tests in practically all breeding regions. Descended from the three-times World Cup winner and 2004 individual Olympic gold medal winner, Baloubet du Rouet, this stallion boasts one of the most successful show jumping sires of all time in his pedigree. Baloubet du Rouet’s sire, Galoubet, son of the top stallion Alme Z, was competing at international level at the age of seven and won team gold at the World Championship in 1982. Balou du Rouet’s maternal grandsire, Continue, achieved lifetime earnings of over Eur 270,000. His dam line has produced several approved stallions.
Balou du Rouet is a very special stallion and reliable producer of top performance horses.
